I just had a question on crating your labrador. You mentioned that you should never use the crate as a punishment or prison, but I became confused when you stated in this paragraph. Its the last sentence of the paragraph. You stated that the crate should become the place where he gets sent to if he has misbehaved. Was that a typo? Below is your paragraph about crates:


Never use the crate as a punishment tool

I cannot stress the importance of not using the crate as a 'prison'. This can have a serious effect on your labrador. The crate is meant to be a place where he can enjoy himself and not have to worry about anything. It should become the place where he gets sent to if he has misbehaved.

By the way, thank you for your website. I will be keeping this one as favorite to refer to.

Yes that is definately a typo! Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention and sorry for the confusion it has caused you. The last sentance should read:

It should not become the place he gets sent to if he has misbehaved.
