Owner of 2 month black lab (Ron)

Question

At the present time I am trying to house break Shadow (the dog).

He goes some of the time when I put him out, but has found an area in the house that he wants to POOH!!!

We have Tile floors so when he tinkles it is easy enough to clean it up.

Any advice or tricks of the trade you could help with would be very much appreciated!

What is your reaction when he does poo in the house? First thing is never to hit or start shouting at him.

Just point out what he has done wrong and tell him a firm NO. On the other hand when he does do his business outdoors make sure to shower a lot of praise and you can even reward him with a treat.

When he starts connecting it all together he will realise where it is acceptable to do his business.

You have just started to house break your little one and this can take a while. All you need is some patience :) Our labs are incredibly intelligent and just by rewarding when he does right and saying the NO and giving him no attention when he goes in the house will be enough for him to learn.
