Biking/jogging with my lab

Question

I have a 9 month old black lab and she loves to bike and jog with me but i'm nervous about how far i should run with her seeing she's so young. Any advice?

Answer

A lot of people advise waiting till your pup gets to 1 year old to allow growth of their legs.

However, to make absolutely sure I would ask your vet.

With regards to how far to run/jog, I would just keep a close eye on her. If she seems like she is struggling to keep up or out of breath then that is enough for her.

Once she is a bit older you'll see her being able to go for longer distances.

Remember to stop and give her water in between these jogs :)
