My gorgeous baby girl
I adopted Bella a little over a year ago. She was abandoned and then rescued by an animal rights organization, from where I adopted her.
Bella is a fawn colour Labrador, and is an absolute angel. She’s probably the most intelligent pet I’ve ever had. As I have learned, Labradors are extremely demanding pets. The require attention round the clock. They also shed through the year and BOY can they eat! They are bottom-less pits!
But, at the end of the day, the unconditional love that they give you, will never give you reason to complain about them!! I can’t imagine what I would do without her. Bella is a part of me.

Look closely at Janko’s pics. Notice anything different about this AKC Black Lab? Common’ look real close….no tail! We live in Florida on the bay….Gators are very good at ‘details’!!
He is the sweetest boy, just turned 7 yrs on July 7th.
I came home a couple of years ago after working overtime and it was dark outside. I unlocked the door and I kept thinking it was strange that his big tail (we call it his 2’x4′) wasn’t knocking me around.
When the atomatic porch light came on I almost fell over!! It was gone…all of it… right up to his hips! I could see the spine still trying to wag!
After a trip to the vet she had me pack the ‘hole’ with powdered sugar 4 times a day for an entire week.
An alligator’s mouth is filled with bacteria and this was supposed to help…I’m no vet so I took her advise.
After a week she said it looked great, pulled and stitched up enough extra skin to make a stump of a tail and now he looks like a Bulldog!
Janko did great and never seemed to be in pain except when he would try to sit for the following 6 or 8 weeks.
We have a 5′ chain link fence, electric fence and cement poured around the bottom of the fence…he still gets out and goes across the street to play in the bay!
We were lucky that Janko ran into a young gator; an older more experienced gator would have attacked from the side before ‘rolling’ and drowning his prey!

Did Janko learn his lesson? by: Cady No! He still will do anything possible to get out of our fenced in yard and get into the bay!I now have a two yr old yellow lab (Arlo) that is my service dog…I keep telling my family that Janko is constantly contributing to the delinquency of a minor!Arlo gets real nervous and will give Janko that look of “you’re going to get in trouble” when Janko tries to pull a ‘Houdini’ and get the gates open.Arlo keeps watching Janko and looking back at the house to see if I am aware of what is going on.I keep anxiously awaiting the day when Arlo will come and ‘tattle tale’ on Janko!Usually I go to the door and see Arlo sitting by the open gate with that look of “What took you so long; he’s been gone 10 minutes already!” 🙂 |

i got boss at 6 weeks old he is such a baby! he is now 8 months and i could not ask for a better dog. i never actually belived you could love a dog like its one of your4 kids,,,,,now i know! boss loves water and chasing our chickens 🙂 although he has never hurt any. he is just the best dog to walk this earth! I LOVE YOU BOSS xxx

What a great looking lab, we’ve had 4 over the past 29 years; two lived to be 17 yrs. Now we have one 7yrs & one 7 months.
You just can’t beat a good lab to love and Boss looks like a real trooper! Give him a big hug from me!

He was amazing dog the best one ,friendly and sweet, he loves to go in the lake with dad.
We just lost him on april 9 he was turning 6 on may 9 we miss him so much he had a bone cancer he went to fast .we love you charlie.
